that really felt like a summer one! what a rare experience right now. beautiful.
speaking of summer, here's a digital layout i made today using....a kit that i created! this kit will be available soon, as well as another one, in my Etsy store, later this week. there's lots of girly elements in this kit however, here's how it can be used with boys.
i added a bit of a whimsical, sketchy feel with the mouse-drawn words, sunrays, stems, leaves, and clouds (which are not part of the kit) but the papers, felted mushroom element, heart brad, and flowers are. There's also a BANNER, other papers, and a few other adornaments.
here's a simple (and quickly done) page sampling the other kit:
this kit actually contains lots of lavender, but has a neutral quality about it as well, as you can see by the above layout. there are boy and girl journaling cards, buttons, and also a ribbon and border, oh, and five papers. (i added the LOVEs to the layout- they are not part of the kit).
now, all i need are a couple volunteers to see how they like these!
as we begin a new week, i am looking forward to homeschooling although i have a bit of planning to do, etsy shop additions (handdrawn prints, stationary sets, jewelry, and digital elements), music practice, and hopefully activity outside with the kids. oh, i sure hope we have a day like this tomorrow. we are working on an enchanted garden for science- Friday we painted the toadstools, pot, and rocks. we have to plant the grass and seed, and arrange the gnome, house, toadstools, and rocks to how the kids desire. Friday we also started another crystal growing experiment...it's already proving to be spectacular in their eyes.
have a wonderful beginning to your week!
blessings,
AMY
ps on second thought, here is another sample of the vintage children kit:

Go you with the digital kits! I'm so impressed!
